The Final Blog!!

I think that our biggest accomplishment was making it through this class and completing our game. The biggest struggle was just trying to complete the amount of work in the small amount of time. I liked working in groups the most because I got to work with my friends. The thing I liked the least about this class was trying to keep Hunter on task. I would tell the new class to work hard and don't mess around!!! I liked explaining why we picked the game concept and telling everyone what it was about.

Practice Presentation

I am worried about putting my scenes in order. We are getting all the scenes just about finished. We still have to add some sound to our game. I think that our biggest concern is putting all the right scenes in order. I think that we will do fine on our game demo presentation once we get everything done. We have learned a lot of stuff about flash while working on our game demo. We have got a lot done so far. We only have a couple of scenes left that we have to finish. It has been frustrating at times but, we have overcome that.

Presentation

We have over come our greatest struggle by asking for help and learning more about it. Our struggle was the time line. We now know how to use it and understand it a lot more. No, we have almost completed them though. We are almost completely finished with our game demo. All we have to do to it is add the sound, and add about 2 or 3 scenes. I think that our team members are working equally. I am working on the skeleton and the team page while Hunter and Greg are getting sound for it. They have been looking for good sounds to put on our game. I think that the presentation should go over smoothly. If we keep working the way we are now, then the game presentation should be fine. I feel pretty confident in our game demo idea because it teaches a lot about volume and some about baseball.

Accomplishments

We have accomplished most of our game demo skeleton. We hope to finish the rest of it by the end of this week. We have uploaded some sound effects for our game but we still have to put them on. I think the most challenging part of this right now is trying to operate the time line. Everybody is working good now.

This Weeks Progress

From the work we did this week, we finished the main points of our goal. We finished the primary game scene, intro scene, and the team introduction. We had to work hard to get the scenes perfect. After we finished the main scenes, we started to add a help screen. For next week, I want to add as many scenes as we can so we will be ready for the game demo presentation. Next week we will have to work really hard to finish the game demo. Our team is working pretty hard. I think that someone could work a little harder. He could try to do some of the things that we are working on. We can try to help him as he goes along. One of the major things I want to accomplish is putting more scenes on our team page. Another thing is adding more scenes to the game demo. And the last thing I want to accomplish next week is to understand more about the timeline.

Game Demo Presentation

The last two days assembling my our game demo haven't been that bad. I think that the only thing that is kind of challenging in Flash is trying to operate the timeline. We have accomplished putting the Intro Scene in, the Team Introduction, and the Primary Game Scene. I think that I have accomplished learning allot more about Flash in the last couple of days. I think it's pretty easy putting in scenes on to the Game Demo. The hardest part in my opinion is trying to do things on the timeline. I think that two of the team members are working equally, but one is doing nothing. Are plans are adding more scenes to our Game Demo. I want to be at least half way finished by the end of the week.

Working in Flash/Game Demo Progress

It's been difficult but i have learned a lot from it. I understand how to add buttons and add navigation to the Game Demo Skeleton. I think that I know enough to work alone on buttons and adding navigation. After I had some help, I finally got my buttons to work. If I click test move, my buttons will work and take me to the next scene. I think the most challenging parts of working in Flash are the time line, key frames, and just making sure everything is correct. If you make a small mistake, then the game demo gets messed up. It's also kind of hard to navigate through Flash.
